MINUTES OF MEETING
The monthly general meeting was held on September 13 on line. Present were Lillian, Angela and Pam.
An overview of the association's events was given to Pam.
Lillian announced that a small BMTA ad has been placed in the TMTA newsletter.
There was discussion about covid dangers in in person recitals.
It was agreed that
1. To limit the out of association recital students to ten. The yearbook recital information has been updated.
2. And to split the recital into two recitals if necessary.
The meeting was dismissed at 11:40.
BMTA EVENTS
Fall Recital
The
fall recital will be October 29. Please plan to dress well. Girls
should wear a dress or a blouse/sweater and skirt/pants and boys should
wear a dress shirt and dress pants. Jeans and sweatshirts are not
acceptable. No dangling jewelry!
All Star Festival
Students
that get Superior ratings in BMTA Festivals are eligible to perform at
the annual TMTA Conference in the All Star Festivals. The All Star Festivals
are held in classrooms at the Conference. Theory test is not required.
The Conference will be held in Waco June 16-18.
Local Competitions
The BMTA Competitions will be Saturday February 25 2023 . Registration deadline is Wednesday January 25 2023 .
