Dear Colleagues:

RECITAL

The updated recital  programs are attached.

Zoom sETTINGS for Baroque Festival

The student has to go into audio settings and select original sound for musicians. Under this be sure echo cancellation is also selected. Then when they are back on the main video screen, they should see the option to turn on in the upper left of their screen. I have had to help all my students get into their audio settings to do this. Not so necessary if they play an acoustic, but if they are on a digital keyboard you can not hear any high notes unless this is on.
The student just have to configure the option to be displayed on the screen. It’s in the settings

NSEMBLES FOR TMTA CONVENTION

Playing in an ensemble is lots of fun! Unfortunately, most pianists do not
get
that experience. The convention program of The Texas Music Teachers
Association provides the opportunity for
students to come together in groups of 10—20 students to perform a duet.
Each
ensemble performs at one of seven concerts during the state convention. We
have
selected music that is appealing for people to play, and music that programs
well in a public setting with a large audience. Your students will love these
pieces!
In order to participate in ensemble, students must pass the theory test. A
score of 70 is passing. Students are allowed to test below grade level to
qualify for ensemble.
