Dear Teachers:

DECEMBER PERFORMANCE

There will be no monthly meeting in December. We will instead have a
performance at a nursing home.

Dec. 8 has been registered with Wesleyan Retirement Homes.

Assisted Home at 2:00 and Independent Home at 3:00.

Students should play at least 1 piece if it's long and two or 3 if short.

Please let me know how many you plan to bring . Please plan to support
Bluebonnet and bring some students to play at both recitals. Same ones ,of
course, can play in both.

November minutes

MINUTES

The monthly meeting of Bluebonnet MTA was held Tuesday November 12 at Velocity Music Academy in Cedar Park.
Present were Al, Mary A and Lillian.

Al complained about SA and theory charges. Mary A and Lillian explained that
charges were not excessive.

Mary explained that teachers need to set high standards and require theory.
Mary A handed out an article from American Music Teacher about teachers
needing to require high standards. American Music Teachers October/November
2013, The Headwinds of Entropy, page 64.

When students can create their own music, their motivation for theory
increases.
