MINUTES OF MEETING
The
monthly meeting was held on February 12 at Panera Bread in Cedaar Park.
Present were Martha M, Lillian, Dianne, Martha V and Angela.
UPON MOTION DULY MADE, IT WAS RESOLVED THAT:
1. The theory test level requirements be amended in the yearbook to follow the TMTA handbook more closely.
2. The festival pieces requirements be amended to state that if the
period piece is 10 minutes long or more, the choice piece may be omitted.
NOTES
Martha V will contact a potential judge.
Martha V will send an ensemble registration reminder.
Martha V will determine if we need a voice judge.
Dianne will prepare the festival schedule.
Martha M will make festival certificates.
The meetings will be kept at 10:30 am.
MEETING
Next Meeting
The
March meeting, which had previously been scheduled for the second
Tuesday of March, has been changed to the first Tuesday in March. It
will be held at Panera Bread in Cedar Park on Tuesday March 5 at 10:30
am at Panera Bread in Cedar Park.
Panera Bread, 10900 Lakeline Mall Drive, Cedar Park 78717. 996-8300. Turn
from 183 onto Lakeline Mall Drive by Strait Music. This is one half block
east of 183. Turn left into the shopping center. Turn left at Target.

The Theory Test proceeded beautifully! Thank you to all the teachers that helped out.

know that you may order sets of this school year's theory tests and
their answer keys. The order form is at: TMTA under Student Affiliate

Greetings
from San Marcos! I hope everyone had a wonderful thanksgiving break and
is rejuvenated towards the holiday season full of great recitals.
We’ve have many exciting things happening here at Texas State University. I wanted to make sure I kept everyone in the loop.
Texas State International Piano Festival – We are excited to host the
10th Texas State International Piano Festival, which will take place
from June 1 – June 9, 2019. Along with From the Top, we have several
concerts, master classes, presentations, and events scheduled. We have
amassed the largest faculty ever, and we will kick things off with a
bang as all of our faculty will join forces on June 1, 2019 to present
for the audience an evening of 2 Piano Concerti with the Round Rock
Symphony. For more details, please visit us at www.tsipf.com.
Applications for the 10th TSIPF will be due on March 7, 2019. Please do
