The general membership meeting of Bluebonnet MTA was held on January 13 at
Panera Bread. Present were Martha M, Martha V, Stephanie, Lillian, Dianne, and
Al.
RESOLUTIONS
It was Resolved that:
The theory forms presented by Al were approved as is.
Theory registration deadline is Thursday January 15.
The theory consent form is due on January 28. Registrations without consent
forms will be cancelled.
NOMINATIONS
Nominations of officers for next school year are:
President - Martha M
Vice-President - Al
Treasurer - Martha V
Secretary - Lillian
Standing Committees:
Ensemble - Mary A
Student Affiliate - Lillian

Dear Teachers,

THEORY
Form
Please inform the members of Bluebonnet that I will be designing a new Theory
Test Enrollment / Pre-registration form.
I am planning to use excel (rather than the pdf format previously used) -
similar to the S.A. format. That way I can copy and paste the information.
Also, there will be new information requested on that form (as per the
consensus reached at the November meeting) - facilitating implementation of
the new requirement that parents (and/or legal guardians) of any student
participant under 18 must be present (or must provide written permission for
another designated adult to be present) at the registration desk for drop-off
and pick-up of student participants and must provide emergency contact phone
number. (Specifics of this and the other changes will be forthcoming).

Dear Teachers,
MEETING
The date of the monthly meeting has been changed. We will not have the
workshop by Lesley on Jan. 6 because of sickness and people being snowed in and can't travel.
The meeting had been previously scheduled for Tuesday January 6. The meeting
has been rescheduled for Tuesday January 13 at Panera Bread at 8:30 am.
There will be no presentation by Lesley. We hope to see you there. Panera Bread,

Addendum to Minutes

ADDENDUM TO MINUTES
At the November meeting it was decided to set the following registration
dates
for Theory test.
The registration deadline for the Spring Theory test is January 14.
The Student Affiliate registration deadline for students who will take the
theory test is December 15.
Update your yearbook. The on line yearbook has been updated.
About the request received to test students registered in ADMTA SA.
Dianne motioned, and Al seconded the motion that the teacher be required to
monitor.
It was decided that the teacher does not have to join Bluebonnet MTA.

Al did some research into state theory guidelines.
It was Resolved that:
All will be the Theory Chairman for the spring theory test.
Dianne motioned and Al seconded the motion that
The fall theory test will not be cancelled even if there is small
registration. And the test will be conducted in a formal atmosphere.
The motion passed unanimously.
NOTES
Details about conducting the theory test were discussed and approved. Al will
write up the details.
Al will look into organizing a Bluebonnet recital at the Georgetown Library in
February.
The ensemble rehearsals will be in May on Saturdays at 4:00 to 5:00 pm. at
Velocity Music Academy in Cedar Park.
Al requested that he be notified by phone of time sensitive matters.
