MINUTES OF MEETING

every page of the test before letting the student leave.
The Handbook is available on line at http://www.tmta.org/
Martha M reported that the festival venue at Floyd Piano Co. has been
confirmed.
Printouts of the calendar were passed out by Martha M.
Addendum: Mary A reported that we will not be using the parent consent forms at the theory test.

NEXT MEETING

The next meeting will be held on Friday, October 9, at Panera Bread, at 9:30 am. Scott Donald will speak about books that inspire us.
Addendum: Have you ever wanted a "book of the month" club for piano teaching?  Our topic for this session is about books that inspire and engage us in thinking about the art of teaching.  The books discussed will range from developing the complete musician, how we teach and why we teach, reward systems, natural learning, developing practice strategies, books for parents of music students, and the list goes on.  Our time together will also give everyone a chance to share their favorite books that have made a difference in their teaching.  Come and join us for a wonderful interactive meeting as we launch into the new school year.
